My name is David Gaffney and I have been involved with the bullmastiff breed for over

twenty years now. I have been the Secretary of The Bullmastiff Club of Ireland on more than one occassion and indeed I was one of the founding members of the club along with Jim McCartan and Stephen Harris and we are all still involved with the club today. I am very proud of the clubs achievements when I was Secretary. The club managed a record entry of 61 at our open show in February 2006. What a wonderful atmosphere that day with all

the genuine bully people supporting the show and an average entry of 25 was maintained

at the shows for that year. I decided to resign my position in May 2007 and have been

asked continuously since then to reconsider but have decided to concentrate on my own

dogs although I still receive numerous enquiries every week regarding the breed. I am

approved by the IKC to judge several working breeds including bullmastiffs

which I have judged at both open and championship level. I also handle bullmastiffs in the ring for other exhibitors and enjoy every minute of it, so if I can be of any help please dont hesitate to contact me
